    Fees

In line with our four editing services, we have four fee scales.

    Standard editing

£4.94 per 100 words (£3.57 per 100 words for first editing, £1.37 per 100 words for quality control.)
This includes first editing and quality control (each by a different person), and identifying and responding to problems that are caused by unclarity. In the event that quality control does not take much time, we will charge you at a reduced rate according to the time spent. In the event that first editing and quality control are very difficult, we will charge you for the extra time spent at a rate of £36 per hour.

    Editing for special requirements

    £5.53 per 100 words
This includes everything that is provided in standard editing, plus (a) editing in accordance with the guidelines for authors of the Journal of Business Research, when requested and as far as that is possible, or (b) using particular grammatical constructions that are specified by either the author or the guidelines for authors of the journal to which the paper is to be submitted.

    Editing for accounting

    £5.94 per 100 words

    Checking

There is no set fee for checking. Checking will incur a fee that is in accordance with the amount of effort involved. If the checking takes only a few minutes, there will be no charge. Usually, the fee will increase in relation to the amount of unclarity that the original text contained.

    Fees: Administration

There is a standard administration fee per paper of £15.

This fee covers the cost of choosing, contacting, and sending your paper out to an editor, communicating with authors when necessary, keeping records associated with your paper, creating and sending out invoices and receipts, and processing payments. We do not make any profit from this fee. We charge it separately because we want it to be the same for each paper, whereas if we included it in the fees for editing, authors who send short papers would pay little whereas authors who send long papers would pay a lot, but the amount of administration needed is about the same for each paper.
